Excellent real ales, excellent staff, they are always helpful and have a smile!! Excellent live bands on Sunday's. Highly recommended

Spit and sawdust. allowed us to eat our fish and chips, but has a very poor non-alcoholic selection. So best if you live in the immediate area

OK so this place is not a gastro pub or a place you would take someone on any form of date... But it has charm and great ales on show. If you want a casual pint, possibly while being sung at by the barmaid... In Alfreton you can't go wrong here

Friendly and very good selection of cask ale which is well kept. Early closing on Thursday night.

Well worth the visit for a couple of excellent pints of Blue Monkey Chocolate Orange Guerilla.

Live music on sundays, really friendly locals, opposite amazing chip shop. What more could you ask for?

Very welcoming, great choice of beers, lager, gin etc. Fabulous that you can take drinks to the Indian restaurant next door. Just remember to return your empty glasses. We're looking forward to a return visit. ????
