Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Great food and ambience! The reason why I gave this restaurant a 4 star is because I felt their portion was a bit small. The aaloo paratha was literally the size of a tiny snack plate. The puris were excellent and not drenched in oil…Loved the halwa as it wasn’t too sweet!
I also ordered their dirty chai which is a mix of karak chai and coffee! Definitely a hit!
I ordered the tandoori chai to see what the hype was all about…to be honest, the whole hot clay and bubbling tea process is fun to watch but the tea tasted just the same as a karak chai. Plus it took almost 40 mins for the tandoori chai to come…so if you are OK to wait that long, then definitely try it!
Chaiilology -Southall.
Lovely addition to the already bustling preceding of eateries, really nice decor, we watched the tandoori Chaii coming into fruition personally, the place was busy, but service was extra slow, we got chaii & an accompanying baklava fairly quickly but waited for the samosa & brownie for 15 mins!
much room for improvement, I get it’s early days, don’t go losing customers to the competition guys.
Loo’s were fairly vile -2/3 stars on this visit.
Best chai shop in Southall by a country mile.
We visited this gem of a chai shop on Southall Broadway on a week night. The food and tandoori chai just blew us away. We had the aloo tiki chart, the.lovely loaded chips, french toast, and halwa Puri Chana. Every item just exceeded our expectation, beautifully presented and deliciously tasty. The tandoori chai is the best desi tea we have had in the UK. There is a short wait for the food to arrive but it's worth it. We.will definitely be visiting again.
Tandoori Chai - Average but very pricey,
portion size was quite small. I don't think Tandoori chai taste like this. It smells like zafaran.
Kajar ka Halwa - Honestly Royal ready-made halwa from asda fridge is 1000 times better than yours. I felt like I should get my money back. If you don't know how to make halwa then you should not be selling it.Halwa was not sweet at all, forget about Khoya and other ingredients which go with it, they were not there at all, hence completely tasteless.
Cheesecake - Not impressed at all. Other friends regretted they have choosen that.
Baklava - Extremely good. That's the only thing I liked.
Overall Experience: 8.0/10
???? Tandoor Chai
???? Price
First time trying the recommended Tandoori chai; this tasted sensational. One of the best chais I’ve had in London; I also liked how they were doing aspects of it in front of you. The chai also comes with a complementary backlava - which was alright.
In addition, I ordered the milk cake (saffron cake if I recall), which tasted very nice; was quite heavy though, I’d recommend getting one cake to share in between two people.
The aesthetics of the place was quite nice and the place was quite clean. Customer service was good and we had no problems with our order.
However to avoid disappointment, avoid looking at your receipt/bank account; ~£5.00 for chai and ~£8.00 for cake is very expensive even with the flavours I’d been exposed to.
Give it a try ????
I enjoyed this place, although looking at the comment below, even i had to wait 45 minutes plus for my food but people should also understand that as it's their first day we shouldn't criticise. I would visit this place again as i enjoyed the tea, loaded chips and butter chicken wrap.
Visited this evening, with my sister!
And we both enjoyed the ambience! Mainly the tea was good and the platter kind of thing which was delicious ???? ! And the both guyz of at the counter were very helpful and humble!! They suggested the best thing for us! First time in Southall it will be remembered! Cheers guyzz !! Thanks a lot????????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5hearts for you!!

Quick Facts About Chaiiology® Southall

Chaiiology Southall has received mixed reviews from customers, with comments highlighting both strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant. On one hand, the food and ambiance are praised, with customers saying that the puris, baklava, loaded chips, and French toast exceeded their expectations in terms of taste and presentation. The tandoori chai, in particular, is mentioned as being one of the best chais in London and the process of it being made in front of customers adds to the experience.
However, there are also several weaknesses mentioned by customers. One common complaint is the portion sizes, with one customer specifically mentioning that the aaloo paratha was too small. Another customer mentions that the tandoori chai tasted just the same as a regular karak chai and took almost 40 minutes to come. This may be discouraging for customers who are looking for something unique and are not willing to wait a long time for their order.
Some customers also mentioned issues with the service being slow, including waiting for 15 minutes for certain food items to arrive. The cleanliness of the restroom facilities is also mentioned as being subpar. These issues with service and cleanliness can negatively impact the overall dining experience and may need to be addressed by the restaurant.
In terms of specific food items, there are mixed reviews. The milk cake and baklava are praised as being delicious, but the Kajar ka Halwa and cheesecake are criticized for not meeting expectations. One customer even suggests that the halwa tasted like it was store-bought and not properly made. This inconsistency in the quality of certain dishes may be a concern for customers looking for consistently good food.
Another weakness that is mentioned is the high prices of the chai and cake, with one customer specifically stating that it is expensive even with the good flavors. This may deter some customers from returning or visiting frequently, especially if they can find similar quality chai and desserts at a lower price elsewhere.
Overall, Chaiiology Southall has its strengths in terms of food quality and ambiance, particularly with the tandoori chai and certain food items like the baklava. However, there are also weaknesses to address, such as portion sizes, service speed, cleanliness, and consistency in the quality of certain dishes. The restaurant may benefit from addressing these issues to provide a more satisfying experience for customers.
