Super schöner Ort. Viel Natur. Gut angebunden. Viele Manatees.
This was a really neat little area we kayaked to. It wasn’t as big of an area that I thought it would be but still cool nonetheless. Some really cool clear spots, just make sure you have water shoes on because the area is rocky and of course you could slip. The holes at the bottom seem cool but I personally wouldn’t try it, my daughter did and thought it was neat. Didn’t see any manatees any of the times here.
Amazing bucket list experience parts are beginners parts moderate experience gorgeous lots of wildlife! Good parking, but go early and/or weekday it's gets crowded!
Always Beautiful!!! Today we got lucky (very few people) It felt like the good old days. Most days it's just too crowded and it's not that enjoyable when there's so many people on the river its just crazy. ????
Seven Sisters is often overlooked because it is a little more remote than others but is a wonderful example of "old Florida". It is slightly less exploited for the same reason. Manatees come into this area so be aware when boating. We saw a mother and calf near the boat dock on our visit in July. Bring your own boat and launch or rent from Chassahowitzka River Campground. It is $5.00 parking for car and $7.00 w/trailer.
This is maybe the only opportunity in Florida to swim through the connected limestone holes (called karst). Be prepared for floating parties that include loud music but don't let this keep you away from this unique experience.
*Easy enough for any moderately active age.
*Wear water shoes as you can not get out on land (it is private property).
*Be prepared for cold water.
*Snacks and cold drinks are available at the boatramp office and nice picnic tables are available on the river for your enjoyment.
*Weekday visits are less crowded.
I Love Chassahowitzka! This place is beautiful! First time in my life I saw 2 dolphins up close and personal! It was a amazing experience that I will never forget! Went with the fam! There is a 5 dollar fee for parking, and they have restrooms. You can also rent kayaks for the day. 15 dollars for a half day. There really is no wait time for getting your boat in the water.
Beautiful park water is crystal clear I seen manatees there a couple times beautiful area
This place is beautiful. Best to call for boat rentals ahead and see if it's a slow day. A lot more enjoyable when it's not packed. Otherwise, definitely worth seeing. Best to bring water shoes, the rocks are slippery and goggles. ????
